In 1909, the American Red Cross sold a small paper seal for a penny apiece to help fund the fight against tuberculosis — a charity campaign that would go on to raise millions. This cushion cover reproduces that seal's design in hand embroidery: holly and berries framing a bold red cross, banners reading "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year," all worked in wool thread on natural cotton canvas.
It's a piece with real history behind it — equal parts folk-art charm and Americana collectible, brought into the home as a richly textured, one-of-a-kind cushion.
